Your web applications handle customer data, payments and critical business processes. They are also the most common entry point for attackers. PeakCyber’s web application penetration testing combines manual expertise with proven tooling to find the vulnerabilities that matter, including the logic and access control flaws automated scanners routinely miss.
What is web application penetration testing?
It is an authorized security test in which our consultants attack your application the way a real adversary would: probing input handling, authentication, session management, authorization and business workflows to discover and safely exploit weaknesses.
Our methodology follows recognized standards such as the OWASP Top 10, the OWASP Web Security Testing Guide (WSTG) and OWASP ASVS.
What we look for
- Injection flaws (SQL, NoSQL, command, template)
- Cross-site scripting (XSS) and cross-site request forgery (CSRF)
- Broken authentication and weak session management
- Broken access control and insecure direct object references (IDOR)
- Business logic flaws, such as price manipulation or workflow bypass
- Server-side request forgery (SSRF) and insecure deserialization
- File upload weaknesses and path traversal
- Security misconfiguration and sensitive data exposure
- Weaknesses in multi-tenant and role-based designs
Testing models
- Black box: no prior knowledge, simulating an external attacker.
- Grey box: test accounts and limited documentation for deeper coverage, which we recommend for most applications.
- White box: full access to documentation and, optionally, source code for maximum depth.

Why teams choose PeakCyber
Our work is manual first. We spend time understanding how your application is supposed to work so we can find where it breaks. Reports are written to be acted on by developers, not just filed away.
